Make It Visible Campaign

Our first project comes in two parts, both designed to make the unseen problem of sexual shame visible.

First, we collect real stories from people across the Internet to document the pain sexual shame has caused, and share those stories with the world. We accept and solicit stories in a variety of formats and lengths to keep all audiences engaged.

Second, by writing letters to the editor, submitting op-ed pieces, and critiquing media stories on the CHSC blog, our members challenge representations in the media that foster sexual shame and sex negativity. Most importantly, we encourage others to assert their power to shape the media, not just consume it. We also write letters of praise and thanks when reporters, editors, and producers.
